As Vice President & Trust Officer, Terry has spent four (4) years as a member of the Trust Department of Guaranty Bond Bank. The Department offers traditional trust services as well as investment management and financial planning services to clients in the Northeast Texas area.

Terry’s expertise has been in automation of processes and streamlining systems to enhance the accuracy and speed of the Trust Department. Terry also oversees the Trust Department’s Family Office practice. In addition, Terry is the lead for Guaranty Bond Bank’s Asset Liability Committee responsible for the monthly detailed analysis of the bank’s loans, investments and deposits to ensure profitability and compliance.

The Certified Trust and Financial Advisor certification is the recognized standard of knowledge and competence for the trust and wealth advisory field. The certification acknowledges detailed experience in fiduciary and trust activities, investments, estate planning, trust accounting and financial planning.

Terry joined Guaranty Bond Bank in 2004 and spent two (2) years reporting to the CFO responsible for SEC 10-Q reporting, 10-K reporting, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and the bank’s monthly financial reporting packages.

Prior to joining Guaranty Bond Bank, Terry spent twelve (12) years in the accounting industry in Austin, Texas. Terry spent two (2) years with KPMG Peat Marwick in the audit department and seven (7) years with Motorola and Dell as a Financial Analyst in the hi-tech industry in the Austin area. Terry’s final position in the Austin area was the controller of a wireless internet company where he was responsible for all of the financial operations of the company.

Terry has presented numerous seminars on financial planning and investment planning for current and prospective clients as well as the public.
